RSS Feeds — the Orange icon

This site publishes one RSS feed which lists the most recently updated pages. Use the RSS feed to keep up-to-date with new or changed content. This guide to RSS explains how to use RSS if you’re not sure whether it’s for you.

Adverts

I worried about putting ads on the page; but am considering it a trial. I will remove them if they don’t work for me. Any money raised will first go to subsidise hosting costs, and then on letterpress equipment. Clicking on the ads will help the letterpress ecosystem in one way or another. If you wish to advertise personally on the site, please contact me. I am currently receiving $0.05 each day from adverts, around half of one pence — which does not yet cover hosting costs!

Accessibility

The site validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional; and works in non-traditional browsers.

Engineering

Pages should load fully within 25 seconds on a 56.6k dial-up modem. Broadband users will see quicker responses. Pages after the first page should load much quicker. The site is built on WordPress and a Sandbox theme.

Updates

There’s a detailed list of updates on each page. Significant updates are below. Version 1 was something I spent a lot of time on but never got ‘out of the door.

Version 2: Blue and Tan

BritishLetterpress.co.uk was opened on 18 March 2007 and sported a fawn and blue look. 1259 people visited the site and 9450 pages were served. This was the first iteration of the site and grew to around twenty pages.
