The major part of the process

The biggest part of the pro­cess! You’ll first need to find a press; and we’ll assume you have type and the oth­er things needed to get a forme of type assembled

You’ll have to think care­fully about the paper you’ll use and work out how to get the best impres­sion from your machine.

Start by ink­ing your press, and begin the act of print­ing. If things aren’t all in order, you might have to work through the pro­cess of ‘makeready’

You’ll need to clean up, and oil your press. When your print­ing has dried, you should have a look at bind­ing and present­ing your work.
